Crystal Lynn Keeler, MPH, Development Specialist

Crystal currently serves as the development specialist for VocalEase, helping to identify people and places that will benefit from VocalEase services. Crystal helps with future planning, organizational analysis, and technical support. Crystal has been with VocalEase since 2005 working behind the scenes to help things flow smoothly.
Crystal's background is in public health research, where she directed and analyzed health outcomes research. She obtained her Master of Public Health degree from the University of California Berkeley.
Amanda Butler, Development Manager and Certified Compton Trainer

Amanda Butler is the Development Manager for VocalEase Communications. Her desire to help others become more easily understood spawns from her experiences with her young daughter who has a hearing impairment.
Amanda keeps VocalEase organized and also helps with client outreach and marketing. She is now working as one of the VocalEase Certified Trainers. If you have questions, contact Amanda.
Lydia Lawrence Hyde, MS/CCC-SLP, Lead Trainer

Lydia Lawrence Hyde, Lead Trainer, is a certified and licensed Speech Language Pathologist. She received a BA in music from San Francisco State University, with an emphasis in voice, in 1999. In 2005, she received her Master of Science in Speech Language Pathology from California State University East Bay.
Lydia has been employed as a licensed Speech Language Pathologist since 2005 in the Bay Area. Her areas of focus include adult voice therapy at UCSF, American English pronunciation at California State University, East Bay, and UCSF with Vocal Ease, and elementary school speech and language therapy with the Oakland Unified School District.
Dana Anderson, MA, Lead Trainer

As a lecturer and consultant on voice and a specialist in pronunciation, Dana Anderson is a Lead Trainer for VocalEase. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Master’s degree from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music.
Amal Maghazil, BA in Speech Pathology, Trainer
Amal Maghazil, has been a trainer for Vocal Ease since November of 2009. She graduated with a BS in Speech Pathology & Audiology from California State University, East Bay, in June of 2009. She is from Saudi Arabia and is a native speaker of Arabic. Because she was in the United States as a child, she speaks English fluently and clearly. Coming from another culture enabled her to interact easily with clients with diverse backgrounds.
Thomas Hickey, MS/CFY-SLP, Trainer
Thomas, a lead trainer, has been teaching American pronunciation of English for the last six years, polishing his skills with completion of a Master degree in Speech-Language Pathology, December 2010. He is a native speaker of American English, and a fluent speaker of French, Japanese and Bambara. He brings years of rich experience having taught English as a second language, as well as cultural awareness from living in Japan, France and Africa.
Tom Denney, Trainer
Tom is a life-long speaker of American English whether he was living in his native state of Indiana, in New York City, or in the San Francisco bay area. Tom received his multiple subject teaching credential from California State University, Monterey Bay.
Tom enjoys his work as an elementary school teacher in a school which has many English learners. His love of languages is what motivates him to share his knowledge of speaking American English.
